A real incident in Mississauga, Ontario. Shared so others can judge for themselves.
I don’t normally use this gas station on Mavis Rd. I’ve been dealing with another Esso for years without any issue. But recently, I stopped here — and what happened shocked me.
On the first day, I pulled up to the pump, lifted the handle — nothing. I was told, The system is down. You have to pre-pay.
I looked around. Every other customer was pumping gas without a problem. All the other pumps were active. They were all Indian customers. I was the only White customer.
I went inside the store. The two cashiers told me bluntly: Pre-pay or go to another station.
I said, Your system is not down. I just saw people pumping gas.
One of them replied: That was before the system went down.
As I walked out, a White customer stopped me and said:
I returned the next day, trying again — and was denied gas a second time.
I’ve been filling gas at Esso Circle K for years. My company spends over $15,000 every month on fuel. I’ve never experienced anything like this.
I spoke with that customer. He said it’s common. Bad managers discriminate
, he told me.
He advised me: get the store number and complaint contact - it’s on the front window. I returned the next day with another vehicle, and tried again.
I was denied a second time.
This time, a cashier came outside and recorded me with her phone. She followed me to my car.
This is intimidation. Employees should not leave the store. There are security cameras everywhere. But they made the choice to follow and film me.
This poster was placed at the entrance - outlining store rules, prosecution warnings, and video surveillance notices.
Imagine: a 60-year-old man denied gas simply because he's White.
I'm fed up. That’s why I made this site. This is not just about me - it’s about calling out behavior that shouldn't happen anywhere, especially not in Canada.
I will be contacting the media to investigate what I now call:
Is this Canada... or India?
